We are Alqama Faisal and my husband, Faisal, and we live in Lahore, Pakistan. We have two young daughters, Fatima and Zainab. Traveling as a family has given us a different perspective on exploring Azerbaijan, especially because our daughters are still very young.
Our goal with Azerbaijan.pk is simple: to share what we actually experienced so other Pakistani travelers and families can plan their Azerbaijan trip with more confidence and fewer surprises.
Why We Created Azerbaijan.pk
My husband, Faisal, has visited Azerbaijan several times. Over the years, he developed a strong interest in Baku and its culture, people, architecture, food, and beautiful places.
In August 2026, we decided to experience Azerbaijan together as a family. This time, it was not a solo trip. We traveled from Lahore with our two daughters, Fatima, who is 3 years old, and Zainab, who is 1.5 years old.
Traveling internationally with two young children is very different from traveling as a couple or solo traveler. We had to think about everything before leaving Pakistan.
We had to plan the visa, flights, accommodation, transportation, food, children’s needs, sightseeing, and our daily routine.
That family trip became the reason we decided to create Azerbaijan.pk.
We realized that many Pakistani travelers want to visit Azerbaijan but have the same questions we had before our trip:

We wanted to answer these questions from our own experience, rather than simply repeating information found on other websites.
Our Family Trip to Azerbaijan
In August 2026, we traveled from Lahore to Baku with our two daughters.
We chose Baku for several reasons. The visa process was relatively simple for us, the weather was more comfortable than the summer heat we experience in Pakistan, and the availability of a direct flight from Lahore to Baku was especially important.
With two young children, we wanted to avoid the stress of changing planes at another airport.
We traveled with AZAL Airlines and experienced the complete journey ourselves, from checking in at Lahore Airport to landing at Baku Airport.
During our trip, we explored different parts of Baku, used public transportation, traveled by Bolt, visited attractions, tried Azerbaijani and international food, stayed in an Airbnb apartment, and experienced the city with our children.
Most importantly, we learned what works well and what can be difficult when traveling around Baku with young children.

We want this website to be a practical travel resource for Pakistani travelers, especially families planning their first trip to Azerbaijan.

Baku Accommodation
We stayed in an Airbnb apartment in Baku and share our honest experience.
We explain why we preferred an apartment while traveling with children, what facilities we had, what we liked, and the one important thing we would recommend families check before booking.
Our goal is not to tell you that one type of accommodation is always best. We want to share what worked for our family so you can make your own decision.
Transportation in Baku
We used different types of transportation during our stay, including:

We share our experience using public transportation with two young children and explain which options we preferred in different situations.
Food in Baku
We tried different types of food during our trip.
We had Azerbaijani food, Pakistani food, fast food, coffee, and other international options. We also prepared simple breakfasts at our apartment.
We share what we enjoyed, what our children liked, what we found expensive, and the foods we would happily eat again.
And yes, lavash became one of my personal favorites!

Baku With Children
This is one of the most important parts of Azerbaijan.pk.
Our daughters are very young, so we experienced Baku from a parent’s perspective.
We learned about things such as:
- Traveling with a stroller
- Managing children’s nap times
- Finding suitable food
- Children’s activities
- Walking with toddlers
- Using public transport with children
- Family-friendly attractions
- Shopping malls and children’s play areas
- Keeping children comfortable during sightseeing
We want other parents to know what they can realistically expect when visiting Baku with young children.
Our Approach to This Blog
We believe travel information is more useful when it comes from real experience.
We don’t want Azerbaijan.pk to be another website filled with generic descriptions such as “Baku is a beautiful city with rich culture.”
Instead, we want to tell you what actually happened to us.
If something was excellent, we will tell you.
If something was expensive, we will tell you.
If we made a mistake, we will share it.
If something was difficult with our children, we will explain it.
And if we discovered something wonderful that we did not expect, we will share that too.
Our goal is to give you a realistic picture of traveling to Azerbaijan from Pakistan.

Our Future Vision: Building an Azerbaijan Travel Community
Azerbaijan.pk is more than just a travel blog for us. We want to build a community of Pakistani travelers and families who love exploring Azerbaijan.
As our community grows, we hope to bring travelers together and make traveling to Azerbaijan even easier for Pakistani families.
In the future, we plan to organize family group tours from Pakistan to Azerbaijan. Our vision is to personally guide a group of Pakistani families from Pakistan to Baku and help them experience Azerbaijan together.
We want these tours to be different from a typical package tour. Our focus will be on comfortable family travel, carefully planned itineraries, family-friendly activities, good accommodation, convenient transportation, and memorable experiences.
Because we have already experienced Azerbaijan with our own children, we understand the challenges of traveling with a family. We want to use that experience to create group trips where parents can enjoy Azerbaijan without constantly worrying about the small details.
For us, this is a long-term goal. First, we want to continue growing Azerbaijan.pk, sharing our real experiences, helping Pakistani travelers, and building a community around Azerbaijan travel. As that community grows, we hope to eventually take our first Azerbaijan family group tour from Pakistan.
Why You Can Trust Our Experience
We are not writing about Azerbaijan because we simply researched it online.
We have personally traveled from Lahore to Baku and experienced the journey ourselves.
My husband has also visited Azerbaijan several times, giving our family additional experience with traveling in the country.
Our August 2026 family trip gave us an entirely different perspective because we traveled with two young daughters.
We took our own photographs, experienced the flights and airports, stayed in our own accommodation, used local transportation, ate at restaurants, visited attractions, and managed our daily routine as a family.
That is the experience we want to share with you.
